Our team consists of dedicated leaders who have served in the IDF and are committed to Israel’s future.

Ron Scherf

Ron served in one of the IDF’s elite units, to which he still reports for active duty as a Lt. Col. He currently holds a managerial position in one of Israel’s leading technological companies which specializes in the digital printing industry. In January 2023, following Justice Minister Yariv Levin’s speech detailing the government’s planned judicial coup, Scherf set aside everything to found Brothers & Sisters in Arms, where he plays a critical and active role on both the Board and Executive Committee.

Harel Tiktin

Harel grew up in Kibbutz Hazorea on the western rim of the Jezreel Valley. A former paratrooper in the IDF, he for many years served as an officer in active reserve duty. Tiktin is currently an attorney specializing in nonprofit law. In January 2023 he joined forces with a group of concerned friends to found Brothers & Sisters in Arms so as to guarantee Israel remain a Jewish democracy for years to come.

Eitan Herzl

Eitan served in one of the IDF’s legendary elite units, to which he still reports for reserve duty. Until recently he held a managerial position in one of Israel’s leading technological companies that provides meteorological systems to the semiconductor industry. A week after the judicial coup was announced, he set aside everything to found Brothers and Sisters in Arms, which he now leads as CEO.

Dror Erez

Commanded one of the IDF’s elite units, participating in more than one classified operation, most particularly during the 2006 Lebanon war. He then became one of the founding members of the IDF’s Cyber Command, where he is currently serving as a reservist. Erez is also a successful high-tech entrepreneur who has founded and headed two startups. In January 2023 he joined the founding team of Brothers & Sisters in Arms, and now leads the organization’s Special Protest Operations.

Oren Shvill

Oren Shvill is a Lt. Col (res) in an elite IDF unit, where he is currently responsible for training the next generation of combat soldiers. As an industrial engineer he is a managing partner in a company that produces Akril products. With the announced launch of the proposed judicial coup in January 2023, Shvill joined Brothers & Sisters in Arms where, as one of its leaders, he plays an active role as the face of the organization in the media.

Liat Weiss Shahaf

Liat served as a lieutenant in an elite IDF unit. She is a lawyer who has for the past two decades developed and led a range of strategic partnerships between Israeli civil society organizations and both government agencies and the Israeli business sector. On behalf of Israel’s Ministry of Defense, she is currently leading a nationwide project aimed at providing IDF soldiers and reservists with long term emotional support. Most importantly, in her role as a lay leader she heads the External Relations Division of Brothers and Sisters in Arms.
